SepiaWave Founder Receives RAeS Fellowship

London, England – March 12, 2009 – SepiaWave, LLC announced today that the Royal Aeronautical Society has elected Mr. Alex Smith to Fellow status in recognition for his contributions to the design and implementation of key technologies that are an integral part of the next generation global air traffic control system. Founded in 1866, the Royal Aeronautical Society has played a pivotal role in the evolution of aerospace technology; harnessing technology to realize military and commercial aerospace capabilities.

The Royal Aeronautical Society has been honoring outstanding achievers in the global aerospace industry since 1908, when Wilbur and Orville Wright visited London to receive the Society’s first two Gold Medals. RAeS Fellowships are bestowed upon individuals for their contributions to the industry, generally at the Captain or Group Captain level in the military, Chief Test Pilot or Fleet Operations Manager for commercial airline operations, Chief of Regulation for Civil Aviation organizations and Managing Director level for commercial aviation enterprises.
